There are many Portinatx hotels in this quiet little resort town that can suit most tastes. Because it is so quiet and has four lovely sandy beaches pretty much right in town, much of the accommodation in Portinatx is family friendly, as is the resort town itself. You don’t have to search far for accommodation in Portinatx that is removed from the raucous nightlife for which the island is famous. There are some music bars here, but they are fairly low key and do not host the kind of all night parties you find at the legendary nightclubs like Space or Privilege.
Many of the more traditional hotels in Portinatx Ibiza are located in the town, within walking distance of the four main beaches, some right on the sand. Many of these hotels in Portinatx Ibiza are fairly large resort complexes like the Club Hotel with its two swimming pools, variety of restaurants, tennis courts, and small private beach set in a secluded cove. A similar beach hotel in Portinatx is the Grupotel Oasis, which has three swimming pools as wells as a large children’s wading pool. Most rooms have at least a fridge as well as a balcony, and the view from the higher floors is wonderful. Both of these resorts have an all-inclusive option that includes half board (full breakfast and dinner) as well as wine with meals, soft drinks, and some complimentary bar cocktails. The Grupotel umbrella group has other similar properties on the island in San Antonio, and on Playa den Bossa in Ibiza Town.
Most of the hotels in Portinatx Ibiza are apartments of some sort with at least a rudimentary kitchen as well as many of the facilities you’d normally expect of a resort property. The Paradise Beach Apartments provide a perfect example, as this is one accommodation in Portinatx that provides both. There are two huge swimming pools, a large children’s wading pool, and several restaurants and bars. Studios and apartments all have a kitchen and sleep as many as four people. This property is set a little to the north of town in pleasant gardens across from a small secluded beach.
Portinatx hotels that are centrally located in town, but not right on the beach include the Hotel Presidente and La Ciguena. And don’t forget to look up on the cliffs of the rugged coastline for quiet rural properties with spectacular views of the bay below. One of these is the Cas Mallorqui, which is sometimes considered one of the hostels on the island. It’s a modest property that is actually a “hostal,” a Spanish word referring more to budget hotels than true hostels.
Some of the best and most unusual Portinatx hotels can be found a bit outside of town up in the hills near the little village of San Juan. In these areas, look for unique lodging options that include farms. And while a farm may not sound like what you seek, these kinds of options in Ibiza might have Turkish baths or other luxurious touches as well.
