Ibiza Villas

Numerous Ibiza villas of all kinds are available for vacation rentals all over the island, and are as ubiquitous here as they are everywhere else in the Mediterranean. You can find villa rentals in Ibiza that are small, modest, and affordable as well as opulent villas in Ibiza that cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars a day, and come with a glamorous history of international rock stars, movie stars, and the rich and famous. Among the luxury hotels on the island are several “hotiques,” like 1930s movie star Terry Thomas’s “house on a hill,” Can Talaida. It’s located in the hills overlooking the sea and beaches between the family resorts of Santa Eulalia and Portinatx. It has seven luxurious double rooms and a beautiful swimming pool.

An Ibiza holiday villa that is a hotique or agriturismo farm property is fairly common. These provide vacations in beautiful rural countryside as well as unique and often luxurious accommodations. Because the island is so small, you can rent a villa in Ibiza in the pastoral hills and still be within 15 to 30 minutes of beautiful beaches and the hedonistic all night parties held in some of the world’s most famous nightclubs.

Numerous Ibiza villas are also clustered around the two largest cities, Ibiza Town and San Antonio. Some, in fact, are in country surroundings, but only a couple miles from the hustle and bustle of these to popular towns. Villa rentals in Ibiza Town include the Can Andreu with three double bedrooms, swimming pool and sun terrace, barbecue, and kitchenette. It even has wireless Internet connection. It’s located less than ten minutes from Ibiza Town and has easy access to Playa den Bossa with its famous Space Nightclub and nearby Las Salinas Beach.

Other villas in Ibiza have easy access to the little village of San Rafael in the island’s interior. This is the unlikely location of Amnesia and Privilege, the world’s largest nightclub. For this location, look for Ibiza villas around the towns of San Miguel and San Jose (in the direction of Portinatx). In San Miguel is the Can Juano Villa, a typical Ibecan farmhouse that is 300 years old. Three bedrooms provide sleeping accommodation for seven people.

More villa rentals in Ibiza can be found quite close to Portinatx, a quiet resort town popular for family holidays. An example is the Can Lluquinet that sleeps four people and is located near one of the most secluded and beautiful beaches on the north coast, Xarraca Beach.

Villas in Ibiza generally include cleaning service and linen changing at least once a week and sometimes more often. Kitchens come fully equipped with dishes and cooking utensils, and often will have basic food supplies. Some will welcome you with a gourmet picnic basket and will deliver fresh dairy products and the newspaper every day. Some of the more luxurious ones will have a chef who can be reserved for a special meal or to cook during your entire stay. Most of the beachside villas, especially around San Antonio and Santa Eulalia, are often in resort complexes with all the facilities you might expect of holiday apartments and resort hotels, including restaurants and bars, swimming pools, and entertainment. The villas are generally separate cottages and bungalows with full kitchens, allowing you to have a fully independent experience as well as enjoy the resort’s facilities.
