Sa Coma Playa

Sa Coma Playa is a gorgeous stretch of beach in this eastern resort town on the coast of Mallorca. People travel to Sa Coma every year to enjoy the temperate weather, warm Mediterranean waters, and luxury hotels and resorts. Sa Coma is situated between Cala Millor and Porto Cristo and links up with S’Illot. This gorgeous resort community is definitely more family-oriented than Magaluf to the west. Many of the all-inclusive resorts offer a range of activities and entertainment, as well as a number of dining options. Many families who vacation in Sa Coma take a glass bottom boat tour or otherwise explore the island, but also tend to stay within the friendly and convenient confines of their resort that caters to their every need.

The tourism industry in the Balearic Islands in general has gone through the roof in the past half century. Places like Mallorca, Minorca, Ibiza, and Formentera are inundated with tourists every year. Sa Coma is an example of one of the more modern resort destinations in Mallorca. It does not so much reflect the typical Mallorcan village setting as some other areas of Palma, for instance, but more than makes up for it in other ways. The beaches in Sa Coma are magnificent and many of the best luxury hotels and resorts are located right on the water with gorgeous vistas of the Mediterranean at every turn. When you travel to Sa Coma you will be entering a world of relaxation and rejuvenation. There are activities and attractions to keep the entire family busy the whole time. Or, if busy is not what you are aiming for, you can spend endless hours of sunbathing and relaxing on a golden, sandy beach. It’s a win either way in Mallorca.

Sa Coma Playa is a stretch of beach with a long promenade lined in palm trees that connects with S’Illot, an old Mallorcan fishing village. If you have an opportunity, walk the beach from Sa Coma Playa to S’Illot and cross over the footbridge that passes over an impressive lagoon. Along the beach you can find a number of exciting water sports including wind surfing, jet skiing, and sailing. On your vacation in Sa Coma, consult with your concierge if you have the opportunity to get information about the various tours available, and for information regarding rentals of jet skis and other such activities. If you are booking a luxury hotel or resort at Sa Coma you may as well take advantage of the opportunity to get the best information and deals from someone knowledgeable at the place you are staying.

There are also a host of other attractions and activities that people enjoy when they travel to Sa Coma. Some of the most popular attractions are glass bottom boat tours. These impressive passenger ships sail around the island and allow tourists the ability to see the exotic wildlife swimming around underneath them. It is a unique and memorable experience for adults and kids. There are also many hiking, diving, boating, and horse riding excursions at your disposal on your vacation in Sa Coma. As if the gorgeous beaches and resorts were not enough, there are attractions and leisure activities as well. Consider going the route of the all-inclusive resort if you’re taking the whole family. You can be more discerning and tailor your experience a bit more perhaps if the only criteria is proximity to the beach. Palma and especially Magaluf offer more nightlife, but Sa Coma has a relaxed appeal all its own.
