Antalya Hotels

One of the things that is delightful about some of the available Antalya accommodation located in the Kaleici (Old City) district is that a number of them are charming small boutique inns and pensions in historic restored Ottoman houses. They all have distinct character and are generally family run. One such hotel in Antalya is the Tuvana. It is within walking distance of many of the city’s sights and attractions, such as museums and mosques, and located on a quiet residential street with no vehicle traffic. It also has parking behind the hotel, unusual in the dense city center, so you have a place to put your car rental if that’s your mode of transportation. There are 23 unique rooms and suites in six restored houses, a swimming pool, lovely gardens, and two dining rooms. A full Turkish breakfast and evening meal are included in the rate.

There are many Antalya hotels similar to the Tuvana. Most will arrange airport shuttle service for you, and will assist with city tours and tours of nearby ruins. These are all clustered around the picturesque harbor area. The Tutav Turk Evi Hotel is actually built virtually into the ancient city walls, and is located at the top of the steps that lead down to the harbor. If you are looking for cheap lodging in Antalya as well as an intimate inn with character, you will find some in the Kaleici district that are a bit simpler and with lower prices.

There are some five-star Antalya hotels located in or close to the city center. The Talya is one of the city’s luxury hotels set right by the harbor on dramatic cliffs with magnificent views of the sea and city. The Sheraton Voyager is undoubtedly the finest Antalya accommodation close to the city center (a half mile away). It is set in extensive landscaped grounds with direct access to popular Koyaalti Beach. This beautiful hotel in Antalya has a full-service spa with traditional Turkish baths. There are Turkish baths and spas in virtually all of the better Antalya hotels as well as some of the more modest properties.

Many people look for Antalya accommodation on the most famous of the city’s beaches. This would be Lara Beach, about five miles to the southeast of the Kaleici district and about seven miles from the airport. There are plenty of these available for all tastes and budgets. In the five-star range is the Marmara Antalya, one of the premier beach resorts on the lovely Turquoise Coast. Beautifully furnished, deluxe rooms have large windows and balconies with sweeping vistas of the blue sea and beach. There are several dining venues, bars, and lounges, including a revolving lounge, beach bar, and a tr/p>

If you don’t want a hotel in Antalya either in the city or outlying area, you can also do some shopping for vacation rentals. You will be able to find everything from luxury penthouse apartments and charming little townhomes to elegant villas with enough bedrooms for a fair-sized group.
