As far as I know, Aspen and Vail, both are very popular
Colorado Ski Resorts and offer amazing activits include biking, fishing, hiking and snow sports.
Aspen is a less crowded place and during summer it has great biking & hiking opportunities. It's loacted just 4hr drive from
Denvar and you can take shuttle flights from Denver to Aspen. If you like to stay in one of the quiet ski resorts in Colorado, then I recommend Aspen is the best choice and just have a look at

Vail is an easy 2 hrs drive from Denver and a less expensive Colorado ski resort, I have visited here once with a group of 10 and had a nice time. Stayed at Vail Cascade which is a little expensive hotel but enjoyed the breathtaking mountain and courtyard views. If you need info. on hotels in Vail, just have a look at
Vail hotels page. Wheather it's a summer or winter, Vail Mountain is a perfect destination to enjoy all the activities, I really enjoyed the ski biking & tubing. Vail ski resort has something for everyone! And January is a fantastic winter month and during Christmas all the Colorado ski resorts are full, so make your bookings in advance. Have a nice time!
