Default Re: Things to do in Virginia

I've been to Virginia several times and last year I visited in January...it was REALLY cold. I wouldn't suggest the beach but Loudoun County which includes the towns of Leesburg, Middleburg & Sterling is a great place to visit during the colder season. It's about 35 minutes from DC which is great. They are considered DC Wine Country which during the winter months I'm not sure how many wineries are open to the public but you can definitly stop in for a few wine tastings. They have so many historical areas and tours you can be part of. It's a great place for the history buff. There is a great historical itinerary Loudoun Tourism put together that is on their site if you want to check it out. visitloudoun.org/political_itinerary/

Beautiful place to just relax and enjoy. Hope this helps.
