Hi, you have chosen a good place for your fishing trip, really Gold beach is a good starting point for Oregon fishing. You can have the Oregon fishing in Gold Beach year round, but December through March is the favorite time and Steelhead fishing reaches its peak in February. Best ocean bottom fishing can also be done in Gold beach and I did my Oregon fishing tour in mid Feb. 2 years back and stayed in Arch Cape house, which is one of the Cheap Oregon Coast hotels and had a comfortable stay.
