Hi there,
The quickest and easiest way from Quito to Chicama will be by plane taking just an hour. If you drove from Quito to Chicama it will take you close to 9 hours so there it is a big difference.
Transportation by land in Peru is fairly complicated and uncomfortable. So navigating it by land can be very time consuming if you wish to explore its different regions.
The bets way to get around it is flying, especially if you want to see a bunch of different places.
Again, the easiest and quickest way from Chicama to Lima is by plane taking just 41 minutes compared to 6 hours by land.
Most flights within Peru cost somewhere between $70-$120, with fluctuations depending on season.
There are about 5 primary domestic airlines that offer flights in Peru, with others coming and going. If you are flying in Peru, it’s a good idea to confirm your reservations more than once, and you should arrive at the airport no less than an hour before your flight.
