Hi,

To see different parts of Germany I think that a tour would be your best bet. Tour companies pick out the most famous and favourite spots and you don't have to worry about the travel arrangements.

Later you could go and visit more in depth those places that appealed to you the most. There is something to be said for tours and individual travel - I like to do both.
