A lot of wiseguys like to belittle the Imperial Palace, but what can I say, it's in the heart of the Strip and it's a bargain. The hotel I stay at is simply where I set my alarm, so it doesn't make a lot of sense for me to have to get a second mortgage for a comfy pillow.

As VegasEd said, The Sahara is a little further away from things, but you walk out the Imperial Palace and Vegas is all around you. Caesars Palace is right across the street, so if you have a good imagination you can pretend you're staying there for $60 a night!
