Hi everyone,

I know there are a lot of hotels in Paris and that is exactly why i am asking for recommendations - i have never been to Paris and am looking for inexpensive but not "scary" hotels that are clean, comfortable, and in the heart of everything. I was told to fly in to CDG, get a taxi to the hotel and then walk to all the sights. I dont think I can walk to ALL of them but will walk to some. Fore example I want to go to the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Champs Elysees, and then also to Normandy and Mont St Michel (which I will probably need a car for...or do I take a train? Not sure how to do that - any advice?). DO I need to stay overnight in Normandy for that trip? Any recommendations for a place to stay in Normandy? I also will go to Reims for the day for champagne tasting at Mumm, but I see this is only an hour or so away so I will rent a car for that trip as well.

Any and all advice for my trip which will be my first trip to France and also my birthday is appreciated - i am traveling in April. Thank you!
