To be frank, you will not find a good hotel in Santa Monica or Venice Beach for $50 a night that is actually worth staying in, specially for two weeks. Realistically, you are looking at the $100 mark for a decent
place to stay so I have a couple of suggestions:
* The Inn at
Venice Beach is a nice and
affordable hotel given the location near the beach. It includes breakfast, cable TV, a mini-fridge, a coffeemaker, free wireless internet access, an in-room safe, dataports, bathrobes, a hair dryer and a 24-hour fitness center.
* The Marina del Rey Hotel is another popular choice located within a bike ride of Santa Monica. It offers cable TV, data ports, a mini-fridge, air-conditioning and free parking.
I know, you are on a budget and these two hotels are above your price range but it is worth considering as you would want a comfortable two weeks stay, hassle free.
