Hi there,

There are no shortage of places for camping in Iowa whether you like camping with your RV or simply tenting out.

Two of the best campgrounds in Iowa that offer many home comforts such as wireless internet, stores and so on are Des Moines West and Onawa/Blue Lake campgrounds. They offer cabins, facilities for your RV, and plenty of spaces for tents.

Iowa State Parks are definetly another option for camping and there are plenty of independent campgrounds such as Elinor Bedell State Park which is located on the shores of East Lake Okoboji.

If you intend to enjoy water sports and outdoor activities as well as camping, I would suggest the campgrounds along Rathbun Lake near Centerville such as Honey Creek State Park.
