Re: Family-friendly attractions in Illinois Not sure what part of Illinois you are looking into or when, but Chicago has lots of terrific stuff to do with the family. I have lived here most of my life and love Chicagoland.
Here are a few fabulous ideas....
1) Navy Pier - rides, restaurants, music all Summer long and all family oriented
2) Late June through early July - Taste of Chicago - unbelivable food and lots of musical ntertainment each night. There are Taste events in almost every suburb and ethnic area in the city all Summer...just need to know your dates to visit.
3) Brookfield Zoo - world renown natural setting zoo - has a train that takes you through the park and stops at each major area - 1 ticket good all day to board as often as you like
4) Sears Tower - nothing like the Sky Deck to see 4 states at once. I still say the World's tallest building - we don't count spires in Chicago - just floors.
5) Food and Shopping - all over the city and burbs - everything for everyone at any price point, hot dogs and dicount malls to the best steaks and high end shopping on the Mag Mile.
6) Friendliest folks - easy to talk to and helpful
7) 6 Flags Amusement Park - like Disney parks, but easier to navigate and cheaper.
Just to name a few..... |
