Re: My favorite Florida Beach I haved lived in Florida now for 24 years. My favorite beach is Sand Key Beach before the Clearwater Bridge. I walk to the north end by the rocks. I have found so many beautiful shells. Many look brand new like I bought them in a shell store. You have to have a good eye to spot your favorites shells. I love looking for and finding Olive Shells. I can spot augers and oliver shells like nothing. I look at the area that have been looked over, like the shell piles after the high tide goes out. I always find gorgeous shells. Many people don't have an "eye" for shell spotting and walk right over the great shells. I am spoiled as I don't pick up the shells that are broke, have holes in them, or have no shine. Sand Keys Beach has pretty white sand, has the intercoastal to the north-east side and the gulf to the west. We have spotted many dolphins, para-sails, and the pirate dinner boat rides. |
