Hi there! There are actually one-day contests at the San Diego Fair with no advanced registration needed. You can enter your photos at the Daylight Photo Shootout (Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 28 ) or at the Twilight and Night Photo Shootout (Friday, June 19 (night) and Thursday, June 25 (twilight)). Check out their site at sdfair.com and go to Contests and Competitive Exhibits link, then to the One-Day Contests Adults & All Ages sub link. Good Luck!
