The Journey Museum is a great place to learn South Dakota history through the time of Native Americans, the prairies, and the modern day. It features exhibits touching on geology, dinosaurs, and cultural heritage. The museum also, offers travelers education and entertainment at the same time.
Other
attractions include, the Stavkirke Chapel which is one of the most unusual Rapid City attractions, and it's an exact replica of a centuries-old church from Norway.
Just outside of town, the South Dakota Air & Space Museum shares the
history of aviation. Visitors also can sign up to take bus tours of Ellsworth Air Force Base and the Minuteman II Silo.
