Default Re: Rothenburg

Yes, it is in Euros (around $45). The tickets I mentioned are for traveling within Berlin city withing zones ABCD. To get to Rothenburg you will need to take the long-distance trains such as the Inter-City (IC) and Inter-City-Express (ICE).

Now, the long distance trains are a little expensive (between $150 -$200). Having said this, it is possible to travel to Rothenburg using regional trains only if you travel in the Bavaria area. This way you can use the Bayern-Ticket, that allows great savings when traveling inside a single German state.

Currently, the Bayern-Ticket for individuals is around two-thirds the price of a standard one way fare between Berlin and Rothenburg.

Hope this helps
