hi there,
One of the most popular of Rhode Island hiking trails is the Blackstone Valley Heritage Trail.
The trail begins at the historic Slater Mill in Pawtucket, and carries along the northern part of the state and all the way to Worcester in Massachusetts. During the trail some popular spots include history
museums and farms.
Another popular spot for hiking it is Block Island which is twelve miles off the coast of Misquamicut. Block Island begins in Old Harbor, the island's only village, and traverse bluffs and beaches surrounded by beautiful seas.
Block Island contains 25 continuous miles of hiking and walking trails that also traverse the grassy meadows of the island's interior.
Two other of the Rhode Island Heritage Trails cover the maritime history of the mainland coast:
- the Newport County Maritime Heritage Trail
- the Military Heritage Trail
