hi there,
To access the Apostle Islands you'll have to travel to the northern reaches of Wisconsin's upstate region to access the Apostle Islands, but it's well worth the journey.
Once you get to the Apostle Islands you'll understand why the
Lake Superior Chippewa Indians consider the islands to be their spiritual home. There are no less than 21 scenic islands that can be found within the boundaries of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, and the 12 miles of mainland expanse are certainly worth exploring as well.
The
Apostle Islands National Lakeshore offers a unique range of landscapes, and most of the islands here show little to no signs of human intervention.
Hope this helps
