Hi there,
Visiting El Caracol is another great place for an insight into how the ancient Maya lived, and El Caracol remains largely
unexcavated.
When you are there, you certainly dont want to miss the Caana
temple-pyramid, which is pyramid standing 140 feet tall.
El Caracol has numerous small structures and three main plazas. There are two separate ball courts that you'll want to take notice of, and its always a good idea to drop in on the Visitors Center.
The Visitors Center is a great place to check out the collection of Maya artifacts, among which is an intriguing ceremonial altar.
Hope this helps
