Do you mean besides the alps? The outer-reaches trickle into southern Germany and some decent resorts exist. That's the only range I know of that'd provide some good real skiing, but it's in the neighborhood of a 6-hour drive from Frankfurt (assuming you're driving) and could be a mess on weekends. The resort D360 mentioned, the Garmisch Partenkirchen, sits on the highest mountain in Germany (about 3K meters). |
