Joe's right about the costs and I'd highly recommend this tour option.
Local buses and a do it yourself appoach take quite a bit longer. It took me three days of travel time going from Quito to Riobamba but I had three weeks of travel time. I've attached a nice map that outlines the route. On a side note you may get an opportunity to see Volcano TUNGURAHUA it was pretty active last year. |
