The source of the slogan "Virginia is for lovers" is from Virginia Beach, VA. The beach may not be up there with Hawaii and the Caribbean but they people there make it worth it. Virginia Beach is not quite a city but not quite a small town either. The best place to go of course is the boardwalk and the beach where you can go surfing and body boarding in the refreshing Virginia water.

After a day of swimming you can hit the Virginia nightlife on the boardwalk and party the night away. There are many clubs and bars on the strips for every kind of person. If partying is not your thing check out the various mom and pop shops on the board walk where you can buy anything from slippers to beach towels to any kind of food.
