Oddly enough, I've heard the bus service to and from Chetumal into Belize can be a mess. And the fact that I'm finding it hard to locate good, official information seems to back this up.
Have you actually heard of
this site? It started out as a man and his wife offering shuttle services with their one van, but because of their service (and the sometimes non-serivce) of the main bus lines, their business has grown. You might want to either give them a call or shoot them an email. They operate out of Corozal and it sounds like they do pickups in Chetumal. Might be a good option, and it sounds like it'd be much quicker/more comfortable than a bus. Another option is reading more on
