Default Re: Best geographic area on Maui to stay?

Well I'm not sure what type of accommodations you're looking for but Hotel Hana Maui definitely has some great options.

If you really want a breakdown of North, south and all that, it depends what you're in to.

North side is for surfing. Here you'll find some great bed and breakfasts.

South side is more of your relaxing tropical island scene. You've got your sunbathers, luxury resorts, and rollerbladers on the sidewalk. There are some condos that you may look into renting.

East side is more jungle-like. The area is a bit more damp and raw.

West side is the popular place to be. You definitely came to enjoy the sun (not that you can't get it everywhere else) Here you've got every class of accommodation, shopping options, and many activities to enjoy.

Well, I'm not sure how much you've planned as far as spending 'dough' but maybe we can recommend some things if you tell us what kinds of things you and your wife like to do on vacation.
