Talking Seattle Sonics get Kevin Durant !

Well, probably. The Seattle Supersonics got the #2 pick in 2007 NBA draft, awarding them (in all likelihood) either Greg Oden or Kevin Durant, the two marquee collegiates from last year who are considered by most to be "can't-miss" NBA talent. Most think Greg Oden will go #1, leaving Kevin Durant for the Sonics as one hell of a consolation prize.

Story

As someone who lives just a few blocks from the Key Arena, this is huge! Not only will I get to watch Kevin Durant develop as a dominant, potentially-legendary NBA player, but getting a top-2 pick just might be the thing that forces the city to step up and demand the front office to keep this team here in Seattle instead of taking them to Oklahoma City or Kansas City or Rio De Janeiro or wherever they were planning on running away to.

And on top of that, the #1 pick went to Portland, just three hours south. If indeed the Sonics stay in Seattle, Oden vs. Durant could shape up to be one hell of a rivalry.
