We're a group of 4-8 college kids looking to spend a week in Vegas around New Years. Ideally, we'd like to be there for New Years Eve (maybe Dec. 29th-Jan 4th?), but would be OK with going for the week following.

Any suggestions on where we might find good deals for either of these two times? When would promotions begin being offered for a trip so far in advance?
