hey thomking, If you are travelling to a developing country you need to carry your travel insurance documents as proof. Without them they wont be able to fly you back home if you need medical treatment. As far as World Nomads Travel Insurance is only designed for independent and adventurous travellers, so I dont think you'll need this one unless your parent are planning on doing bungee jumping:)
