Well there's always the Turtle Bay Golf Resort in North Shore. The area is not "honkey-tonk" and it doesn't have many highrises like Waikiki. Most tourist choose the North Shore to get away from the Waikiki area. I think this may be more of what you're looking for.

The popular Hawaii Kai is always an option, though, I'm not sure if they accept single player reservations.
