I would anticipate your Reals will go about twice as far as US currency. Cheaper than Europe but not as cheap as other parts of South or Central America.
Brazil has some yummy food and the Rio nightlife is great! Sounds like you have a great trip in the works. We would enjoy a trip report when you get back if you have the time to write.
