Staying the entire time for the Oktoberfest in Germany can be quite an exhilarating experience, and it can also be a very expensive experience, but if you have the funds to support this, you can do a little research and try to find the lowest price of the season, which is going to be peak, at one of the local hotels, and it's definitely recommendable to do this research well in advance, because depending on last minute prices, especially when people are always looking forward to the
Oktoberfest, isn't going to be your best bet. So, look early, that's my advice for finding hotels in any area, and also, expand your horizons if you're trying to save money. Hostels, home stays, and camp grounds will often become your best friends if you're a traveler. This is something that we always consider when we're going somewhere for a long period of time, because not only do we end up saving money, but we always have quite a unique experience in these places, because a hotel is a hotel, usually, no matter where you go, but guest houses and camp grounds are almost always different and if you research the places, you'll know what to expect and usually have a lot of fun, meeting people and learning a little more about the local area. A couple of other things to mention are that there is a campground in
Munich, called Thalkirchen Camping Ground, where many visitors stay for the duration of their trip, and the drinking takes place in wooden ale houses, and in these houses, the tables are reserved, so if you'd like one of those tables, make sure you make your reservations early.
