There's a bed-and-breakfast there that I'm planning to stay at if I ever make it to New Orleans--the Degas House. The painter stayed there while he was visiting family from the Old World. He did work on some paintings while hew as there. This is his only remaining home open to the public. It has many reproductions of his paintings on display as well as some charming rooms.
