I remember a weird tip from an old travel writer...think about the underwear you pack. Pack old socks and undies and just throw them away when you're done. And sitting around your hotel room in your undies or jammies is a good way to keep your clothes fresh. You can pack less this way. It sounds weird, but it was a time-tested way to travel well!
