 first time in India
I would say get yourself the India Lonely Planet or Fodor's guide as they're fantastic guide books for first timers. It has pretty much everything you need to know about travelling around India, including hostels, hotels and guest houses. As far as where to go in India, the Paharganj area in Delhi is a nice place to stay for newbies to the country as it's very popular with backpackers so there are lots of budget hotels to choose from. |
