Though I'm not quite the spry 18 year old I used to be, I've never had a bad time in Munich. Plus it's closer to Spain than cities like Hamburg and Berlin, if that makes a difference. Oktoberfest is obviously a huge draw, but if the timing's off, know that the music and fun seems to occur year round.
