Re: How's the water level at Iguazu Falls? Iguazu falls are the world’s largest set of waterfalls located in the bottom corner of Brazil on the border of Argentina. I've been to the falls twice, most recently in October, the falls nearly dried up. I was very disappointed and the zodiac boat ride was not offered during my stay because the river level was too low to permit it. My friend told me that the best time to see the falls at full strength is during the rainy season that is from November to February. Water levels will be at their lowest in March, August, September and October. So organize your trip in November or December.
It is very easy to go from Iguazu to the Argentinian side. A taxi would cost you about $20 to $30. You can even go with public transportation, taking a local bus from Iguazu to the city centre terminal of Foz do Iguacu, and changing there to another bus to the other side of the border. A bus travel can take a full day, but my suggestion is travel by plane since the distance is very long.
