Smile Re: Beaches in Portugal

If you are talking about going now you will find only people taking walks on the beach as it is winter and cold. If you are planing to go in the summer i would recommend you "Olhos d'Įgua" located in the small fishing village, Olhos d'Įgua, which means 'Eyes of Water' in Portuguese because of the natural spring water that flows through the sandstone cliffs. Olhos de Įgua retains its intimate feel and has some of the most beautiful beaches on the Algarve the beach is gorgeous with pine-clad cliffs and rocky promontories. In certain conditions, the freshwater springs which give the town its name bubble up through the sand on the beach. Or One of the finest and longest beaches in the Algarve. Praia da Falesia has a scenic clifftop setting, between the popular resorts of Albufeira and Quarteira, 18 miles west of Faro airport.
