Smile Re: Mardi Gras best hotels

Although Mardi Gras New Orleans is celebrated around the world, no one does it like New Orleans.
The City that Care Forgot*! People have been calling New Orleans "The City that Care Forgot" since at least 1938. Both are all- day parties along the route w/ cookouts and crawfish boils. The biggest and best parades are Krewe of Centaur and Krewe of Gemini. You can watch the parades in Bourbon Street but there are plenty away from the Bourbon Street, some of the biggest parades travel along the beautiful St. Charles Avenue that`s where the parade first rolls.
Yes, many people dress up to go to them so definitely bring your boas and masks, whether or not you costume, it is a day outdoors, so plan accordingly: wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and layered clothing, catch Mardi Gras throws! Enjoy jumping up to catch beads, doubloons, cups, stuffed animals. Plan ahead: Most of the Central Business District and French Quarter New Orleans
hotels require 4 or 5-day minimum stays, and they steadily book blocks of rooms beginning in August. Make your reservations now! Mardi Gras Krewe is a parody of royalty: King, Queen, Dukes, Knights and Captains...or some variation on that theme. Here is a link to Bourbon Street Hotels and French Quarter Hotels also
New Orleans Vacation Packages and New Orleans Flights.
Y'all will have a blast! Hope this helps. Feel free to ask if you have more questions.
