I don't like disagree with people but i'm going to have to with this post. Cobber hasn't been used in a very long time. It is still in the travel guides but trust me, you are going to look like a 'bloody tourist' if you say it. Mate tends to be a better word for buddy however mate is used in a lot of other countries as well. And make sure not to over use any of the words. Actually if you are a tourist I wouldn't use the words at all just know what they mean. I also wouldn't say that rag up is commonly used although it is used sometimes.
