Re: Montana's Glacier National Park As far as what is the best time to go there, it depends on what you are trying to see. The elk and some of the other animals come into "rut" around October so they are very active and you can see large herds of them but you also will have to face colder weather and possible blizzards and snow. The summers are mild there so that is a good time to go as far as weather is concerned but that is also the busiest time of year and traffic can be a problem. The scenery is great all year, it just depends on your preference, do you like snow covered landscapes, or the wildflowers or spring etc.? |
