RV rentals in Alaska

hi,

My wife and I would like to "rough it" in style during our trip to Alaska but want all the comforts of home so we're considering RV rentals in Alaska.

what are the RV range that companies offer, and is there many companies to choose from? also, what RV model would you recommend or is more popular with travelers?

Any other tips are very welcome!

There are many firms that offer Alaska RV rentals and most of them offer 22-foot class C motor homes to 30-foot class-A motor homes.

However, the class C motor home is the most popular model and it is usually available in 22 foot to 31-foot lengths.

Since you're a couple the A 22-24 foot RV will work quite well for you, although the 25-27 foot models usually offer a full bed in the back.

Also, be aware that many of the RV rentals in Alaska are sold out by springtime so, a deposit is generally required for Alaska RV rentals, and some Anchorage Alaska RV rental companies charge extra for mileage.

Rental car companies generally allow drop offs in different cities/states. Sometimes there are even discounts if you are picking up from a location with too many and dropping off at a location with too few. Alaska has all the main rental places (Hertz, Avis, etc).
