| Hello! my family and I are going to Alaska this summer. 1) is it worthwile to buy "the great alaskan tour saver discount" book? does it really help save money on the trip? 2) We would like to go rafting on the denali river. there are two providers with a price difference. Does anyone have recommnendations which is better? Thanks! Naomi |

| It's a good question actually because not all saver discount books actually save you money. The Great Alaskan TourSaver does save you big money by offering 2-for-1 deals on things like accommodation, and Alaska Railroad Tours, helicopter excursions, etc. You can try get the saver book on ebay to save some money, here it is a link |

| You welcome:) By the way, what providers are you contemplating? Are you planning to do this as a cruise shore excursion? Denali Raft adventures and Denali Outdoor Center both do the Canyon Run and Wilderness tours. They have a good reputation out there. No matter which one you go with, always book directly with them as they offer discount offers. Also, should you need to cancel, remember they always incur a cancellation fee, and they aren't libel if they whether is really bad so, book wisely..Good Luck! | thank you again! Not quite sure what you mean by "book wisely" - should we book any water boat rides /rafting only a day or two in advance when we have heard the weather report? how much would we have to worry of not haing room on the oat if its two days in advance? thanks so much! naomi |

| Yes, a couple of days in advance would be ideal, but the only draw back is that you won't get the savings you'd normally get by booking early and paying in advance to bringing the cost down. You can actually pre-order saver tickets at savertour, that's the name of the company.

| If you want your Alaska vacation to include Denali National Park, Mt McKinley, Columbia Glacier, Kenai Fjords, wildlife viewing, fishing, rafting or flightseeing, I'd say that the Great Alaskan TourSaver comes in handy! |
