Default Alaskan Cruise from Seattle

Does anyone know if the cruise lines out of Seattle or anywhere for that matter will give dual occupancy rates to a single traveler if that traveler will be on stand by for a cruise. I am retired and have to travel alone. I can't afford to pay for two people..just me. I wonder if any cruise line will give the bargain rate to a single cruiser...say like at the last minute just to put another body on the boat.

I just answered this question with NCL..no deal. They fill the ships 99% and want double price for a single traveler...bummer.

That's too bad. Thanks for answering your own question though here on the forum, hopefully it'll be of help to someone else with a similar question in the future.
