I would recommend kayaking in resurrection bay, seward.but if you have a day at each port why not try a full day of kayaking at seward and then just a half day at mendenhall glacier.

kayaking in Alaska is great way to spend your vacation. I would also recommnd kayaknig in Resurrection Bay. I prefer it for the picturesque location. However, Mendenhall Glacier has some great options and tours.

Thanks for your help. I think in his case we will chosse resurrection bay kayaking, as kayaking twice will not be our choice. I would love to take different excursions at different ports. can u tell me what can are the other options at juneau ... or rather mendenhall glacier in specific. Thanks again

Well, the Mendenhall Glacier is only about 13 miles from downtown Juneau. Many who visit Jeneau choose to go on a guided walking tour of the glacier. Though, that type of tour will include some hiking along the glacier. Not sure if you'd be up to that after kayaking.

So another alternative could be a trip tour that focuses on photography. Juneau is great for wildlife viewing. You'll see animals like brown bears, whales, eagles, sea otters and the Sitka Black Tail Deer.

If you're into fishing, then there's always fishing in Alaska as an option. In the warmer months it's popular to fish for the king salmon or the halibut.

thanks everyann.

well, as we plan to kayak in resurrection bay i guess we can manage doing the hiking in mendenhall glacier.. it sounds a good option.. though your idea of wild life viewing can also be a good choice for us..
fishing is not our scene in any case.. Thanks for your help. we are leaving for the cruise on this 27th.. I will definitely let u know about how it goes..

any other recommendations will always be welcome.. our ports of call are juneau, ketchikan, skagway and seward.. i will also love if u have some idea of utilising one day in anchorage.. i guess its too much to ask for but any help will be great.. thanks a ton
