|  18 year old plans on going to Alaska Hello everyone, I am a 18 year old senior in high school who plans on going to Alaska by himself for the summer. I'm going to leave very suddenly and not alot of people know that I am. I have a current job now and I will save up some money, I plan on living on few things and I want to experience the real Alaska so I can get a different perspective of our world. I was wondering If anyone could help me with this proccess. |

|  Re: 18 year old plans on going to Alaska Going to Alaska solo sounds like a good idea...I went solo to Alaska for the "summer" when I graduated from high school, and I wouldn't recommend it. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful place, and intend to go back in the future, but Alaska isn't a place for an 18yr-old adventurer. There is a lack of youth and other solo travelers, the public transportation is poor, so you will need to rent a car. Honestly, if you really want to discover yourself and get a different perspective of the world, head to places like South east Asia or South America. |
