| Anyone ever done the Mount Marathon Race? I'm looking at a new challenge and this is definitely up there with its course! I heard the overall Mount Marathon Race record is for males 43 mins and 50 mins. Don't know if I can make that time but I'd be curious to know if anyone's ever done it. |

| Never done it, but I looked it up and it looks like a sweet race. I'd definitely do it if I were you and it was still possible (is there a cap on registrants?). Have you already regsitered? It says the deadline was March 31st. If not it sounds like you'll have to wait til next year. If so then good luck! Holy crap Yeah I'd definitely be all over that if I were you. Found this in their FAQ section, in case you hadn't registered: "I didn't apply for the race or didn't get in through the lottery. What do I do now? You are not the first, nor will you be the last. The majority of slots are allocated through the application and lottery process, so your options are limited. You may participate in the auction on July 3rd or you can purchase raffle tickets at $5 each for the opportunity to win one reserved slot. If neither of those options meet your needs, we encourage you to participate in the race as a volunteer and be sure to apply for next year's race on January 1." | G'lord! The Mount Marathon Race sounds intense! I also looked it up and it's a climb AND a descent on Mt Marathon with cliffs. Oh, but there are waterfalls and a spectacular view. I'm not physically fit but WOW, if I was, I'd be on that piece. I say this because people of all ages have run, even women in the 50s and 60s. I say, go for it and good luck! |
