|  Cruise or Land only We have about 9 days for a trip to Alaska and wondered if there is a trip that you can do both a short cruise and a rental car or rail trip as well. Most cruises are for 7 days and that takes the entire 9 days with travel to/from port. Is it better to just fly to a starting point and rent a car and leave from another point? Or, is there a tour out there that does this for you? I can't find any rail/cruise combo's that are within our time range. Any suggestions? |

|  Re: Cruise or Land only Hi there, It seems that Alaska travel offer what they call self-drive tour packages which you can customize given you the option of traveling via rental car and tour at your own pace. Their self-drive packages include hotels, tours and car rental so, it is worth checking them out as they seem to cater for your needs. Hope this helps VacationBuddy
