| I have never been on a cruise before. Can you tell me are there late fall or early winter alaskan cruises available? And if so, is this a good time to go. Any pointers for a Novice traveler? |

| Hi there, Cruises to Alaska are a seasonal activity. In general, May through September is the best season to cruise Alaska. May is the driest month for an Alaska cruise. It also has the advantage of being one of the least crowded months at the ports. As a novice traveler on your first Alaskan cruise, I would say if you book the cruise through a travel agent is usually is more expensive and you can save some extra cash by doing your own research. I believe that Princess and Holland America are definitely the best when it comes to Alaskan cruises. I have never been on a cruise to Alaska but this is what I hear from others. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy
