| Junior Member | I am heading to Juneau in July spending 4 days with a photo class. I have 4 more days to spend there. Any tips or hints of what we should do or where we should go? Should we stay in Juneau or try and go somewhere else for the others? Input is greatly appreciated thanks! |

| Well summer in Alaska is great for fishing but somehow I don't think you'll be up for that. As far as taking photos, Juneau is a great place to do that! There are a number of tours that focus on photography. If, however, your class will be doing those types of tours during the 4 days you're together, then maybe try visiting the Mendenhall Glacier . Juneau has a lot of great outdoor adventures but if you choose to venture out of town try Sitka. As I mentioned earlier, the summer is great to try some fishing but Sitka also has a lot of history and Native American Heritage. So that may of interest to you. |
